Welcome Monday! Busy week ahead for me and getting ready roll into March break next week with the kiddos! We have a mini local vacay planned just for a change of scenery and I will be starting another mural job at the end of the week! So excited!

The snow is melting!!! It's funny how your mood changes so quick when you can hear birds chirping and the sound of the harsh last few weeks snow trickling down the storm drains! I am so excited for this spring... winter has just been way too long!

Morning! This pic reminded me of a really embarrassing story of me... and for those who know me well, maybe just one of many that makes me like a Bridget Jones movie at times. I was DD one night back in my early 20's and had my roommate, sister in law to be and my brother in my Sunbird (red with a sunroof! so cool) all with me on our way home from Sanders on the Beach (that will age me for those who know what this is in Grand Bend). The lineup for the bathroom was way too long so we all decided we would just drive a little out of town and find a backroad to do our business on. In the dark on a gravel road it was the perfect place to discreetly go and be on our way. At the very moment of having my grey linen pants around my ankles, a strong wind picked up and you can guess how my steady stream went from downward, to sideward. My pants were soaked! So being that I was in close company, I decided to drive home in my underwear and put my wet pants under the front seat. Crisis diverted! and back on track to getting home safe.... until about 5 mins later I see up ahead some faint blue and red lights. My heart sank and I knew I had to drive into it. Like you cant turn around and drive away from a ride program - would be quite suspicious. Slowing rolling down my window and with a bright red face I hear "evening... can I see your licence... blah blah blah and have you had anything to drink". I did have one and I was honest but I had no idea what would follow. "I am going to have to ask you to come to my car and take a breathalyzer." Am sure my red face was now also a red neck and with shaking hands I say, "I don't have any pants on". And then had to further explain why I was sitting in my "grannies". It really didn't sound great coming from the bar. I was then instructed to put back ON my wet bottoms and walk back to the cruiser for THE test. Just wow. I DID pass the breathalyzer and I will forever have this funny story to share. Would love to hear if you guys have any embarrassing stories? Tell away!

Canada proud! And... it's Friday friends :) Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Cheering on lots of kids hockeys games over the next couple of days (GO JETS!) and probably shovelling snow again.

Oh the snow! SO MUCH SNOW! Southern Ontario - we all must share in sore arms today and cramped cores from all the shovelling. Or... maybe that's just for us dummies who didn't get their snow blower fixed this year! I am taking refuge in my office snuggled in a blanket skirt making patterns, working on my website (SOOO CLOSE TO BEING DONE!!) and drawing a sweet house portrait that will be gifted to someone who lost their loved one :(

It's Monday and I am back at creating! I wanted to quickly share a big accomplishment from last week. My Etsy Shop hit 10000 sales and I wanted to thank all of you for your support over the last few years. I also wouldn't be here without @jenicagoertz to help start off this adventure. She's still doing great things and on a new path of her own. If you haven't checked out her art - you should!! Big hugs all! High Fives Jenica!!

What started off as a bright floral print has ended in a subdued silhouetted design that I felt was more fitting for home decor. Comes in 11 colour ways and as Fabric or wallpaper. Again... I apologize for these going to my personal page on FB... I can't for the life of me figure out how to turn that off. It just happened! Bah!

SNOW DAY! My kids are over the moon... I am the mom that drives them to school even when the buses are cancelled. Today they get their wish... school is cancelled for the day. I will be busy drawing houses today (they make the best gifts!) beside the Christmas tree and soaking in all the holiday feels through the window.

Got the tree up yesterday and made it through without any arguments or injuries. Had to make a trip to the hardware store since the lights were not to be found anywhere! My husband wanted coloured lights but I won with warm white. How many others have this debate each year... tacky or classy? Or what even is the definition of those?
